today, while driving, i was listening to a radiolab podcast about people who take their newborn animals to church to be blessed. just as they were discussing how crazy this sounded (what would blessing the animal really do for it anyway? not to mention the sheer logistics of getting your donkey or bull or sheep inside the church!) I stopped at a red light directly behind a license plate that read: BLE5S3D.
i know it’s not that weird or that exciting, but stuff like this happens to me all the time. i think it sorta happens to everybody, but i figured i should probably start to write it all down.
we all ask ourselves, does it mean something? or does the mind just make it mean something, getting carried away by these essentially random connections that happen all the time?
strangely, that’s what i like so much about radiolab. they’re always talking about science, but almost every show ends up being more about the grey area that transcends science and just can’t be determined or explained. i find my mind so often wandering in that grey area, just…wondering.
